How to delete your account and data

You can delete your BhattaExpert account and all the data linked to it at any time. Here is how.

Option 1 — In the app (easiest)

  1. Open the BhattaExpert app and log in (OTP or password).
  2. Go to the "और (More)" tab and tap "खाता और डेटा हटाएँ (Delete account and data)".
  3. The screen lists every bhatta that will be deleted with you. Read it carefully.
  4. Tap "OTP भेजें (Send OTP)". A 6-digit OTP comes to your registered mobile.
  5. Enter the OTP (optionally a reason) and tap "हमेशा के लिए हटाएँ (Delete forever)".
  6. You are logged out on every phone. Your request is recorded.

Delete only one bhatta? Owners can open that bhatta, tap "और → यह भट्टा हटाएँ (Delete this bhatta)" and type its full name to confirm. Other bhattas keep working.

Option 2 — By email

  1. Email [email protected] from the email ID registered on your account.
  2. Subject: "Delete my BhattaExpert account".
  3. Include your registered mobile number, name and the bhattas to delete (or "all").
  4. If no email is registered, write from any email with your mobile number — we confirm with an OTP or a call to that number.
  5. We reply within 7 days; the same rules as an in-app request then apply.

What happens immediately

  • Ongoing subscriptions of all your bhattas are cancelled at once — no renewal, and pending payment links are cancelled.
  • You are logged out on every phone and browser.
  • The bhattas are locked — you and your staff (muneem, manager, drivers) can no longer make entries.
  • Cancelling a subscription this way is not a refund. Refunds only as per our refund policy.

30 days to change your mind — and paying again

  • Nothing is erased for 30 days, so a mistaken request can be stopped.
  • To stop it, log in within 30 days and tap "हटाना रोकें (Cancel deletion)", or email us from your registered email.
  • If you cancel, your data is kept but your old subscription does not come back — you will need to pay again. Money already paid is not carried over (except refunds under the refund policy).

What is erased after 30 days

  • Your login: name, mobile, email, password and photo. The number can register again as a new, empty account; old data cannot be restored.
  • Personal details in your bhattas: workers, thekedars, customers, suppliers, drivers — phones, addresses, bank/UPI, Aadhaar, photos, documents, voice notes and AI chats.
  • All staff access ends.
  • This is permanent and cannot be undone.

What the law requires us to keep

  • Tax and company law (GST, Income-tax, Companies Act): invoices, payments, ledgers and stock records are kept for 8 years without personal details and with access closed, then permanently deleted.
  • Security logs expire after their normal period (90–400 days); backup copies disappear as backups expire.

If you are staff (muneem, manager, driver)

Only your login and profile are deleted. The bhatta, its data and its subscription belong to the owner and continue; entries you made stay in its records as "Deleted user".

Before you delete

  • Owners: download all your data first (web dashboard → Settings → Export). Export also works during the 30 days.
  • Let every entry on the phone sync — keep the internet on.
  • Settle accounts with your workers and customers first.
