From clay to customer

Follow every brick through the season

Each stage of the kiln is one simple entry. BhattaExpert links them, so the count that leaves the mould is the count you can sell.

  1. 1
A moulder pressing wet clay into a wooden mould

    Pathai

Moulders’ daily count with thekedar and rate, so wages build up as the bricks do.

  2. 2

    Bharai

Green bricks loaded into the kiln, chamber by chamber, with dates.

  3. 3
Stacks of fired bricks taken out of the kiln

    Nikasi

Fired bricks taken out — the kiln’s output for the round, recorded on the spot.

  4. 4
    AwwalDoyamChatkaSeedha chatkaPeelaToot-footRodi

    Chhantai

Sort the fired bricks into seven grades. Each grade gets its own stock.

  5. 5
Workers loading a tractor trolley with bricks for a customer

    Sales & khata

Sell by grade, load the tractor, send the bill by SMS — the customer’s khata updates itself.

Easy for the munshi. Clear for the owner.

Questions

What kiln owners ask us

Something else? WhatsApp

Our kiln has almost no network. Will it work?

Yes. The app saves every entry on the phone first and sends it when the signal comes back — nothing is lost and nothing is saved twice.

My munshi only reads Hindi.

BhattaExpert is made in Hindi first. Every screen, bill and SMS is in Hindi; each person can switch to English for themselves.

Can I keep customer advances?

Yes. Record an advance in the customer’s khata; each sale is adjusted against it and the bill shows the true balance.

How are brick grades counted?

After nikasi, chhantai sorts the bricks into Awwal, Doyam, Chatka, Seedha chatka, Peela, Toot-foot and Rodi — each with its own stock.

How much does it cost?

One plan with everything: ₹5,000 a month or ₹50,000 a year, GST included. Pay online by UPI, card or net banking.

Who owns the data?

You do. It is kept on servers in India and you can download all of it at any time.
